| ||
Application: |
The removal of Tig welds and finishing of stainless steel tubular hand rails
| |
Finish Required: |
A ‘240 grit’ satin finish. This is the most common satin finish typically seen on high quality commercial property and in the retail environment.

Specific Criteria: |
Any flat spots on the tube would be unacceptable as they would be easily noticed in the finished work.

3,000 to 5,000rpm RCD combination disc Medium 115 x 22 or 125 x 22mm |

Method:
Work with the RCD disc on the weld with the machine orientated along the length of the tube (see pic.). As the weld disappears work the disc from side to side to ensure a good blend is achieved.

Tips: |
Low pressure and low speed will improve the life of the disc and control of the operation.
| |
Once a finish has been achieved working at a very light pressure vary the speed to achieve a perfect blend with the existing tube finish. Faster = Finer finish Slower = Coarser finish
