RCD® Combination Flap Discs

Yet another Cibo Abrasives innovation. The RCD (also called the Rapid Combi Disc by many users) is the result of listening to the customer, combined with the manufacturing and abrasives knowledge resulting from years of experience in supplying technically advanced abrasive products. Products that are designed for grinding, blending and finishing of stainless steel welds.  One of the biggest challenges faced when welding is removing the weld and leaving a high quality finish without undercutting or damaging the original metal surface, this is why the Rapid Combi Disc was designed.

The RCD Combination disc is designed to remove TIG welds, blend the grinding and sanding lines and finish in one action.

RCD Combination Discs give excellent finishing which means that you will save time, money and reduce re-working.

Our only warning is that with the RCD Rapid Combination Disc you need to think differently.  With traditional sanding discs the risk of ‘flat spotting’ stainless steel tube is ever present.  The RCD Combination Discs will remove a stainless steel TIG weld without flat spotting, leaving you free to sand your metal with the grain going around the tube.

Get to know this patented new disc now:

Cibo Abrasives developed the surface conditioning flap disc several years ago.

The medium RCD, rapid combination disc, gives a 240 grit finish, straight off the weld and improves work rates compared to standard surface conditioning discs.

Users also benefit from greater productivity and efficiency and at least a 6 times longer life span: saving you money from day one.

Manufacturers of many products notice dramatic savings on their previous sanding costs, with the added benefit a much improved look all the way round
