Abrasive flap wheels and brushes come in an extraordinary range of shapes and sizes and are made in an extensive range of abrasive cloth types.  Below we have detailed the main wheel types we have available.  In addition see at the bottom of the table we have tabulated the standard product types available for each form.  Please contact us if you would like to discuss any of the products in more detail.

Flap wheels abrasives on a spindle

Abrasive cloth flap wheels on a spindle are available

ex-stock.  From tiny sizes for deburring small access holes and ports up to 100mm in diameter for satin finishing and cleaning operations.

Material types available include aluminium oxide cloth abrasives, Tex nonwoven fleece, al oxide cloth / Tex combinations, stripping wheels and unitised wheels.

Abrasive flap wheels for use on a parallel shaft

Abrasive flap wheels with an open centre are designed for larger machines including hand held straight grinders, double ended spindle polishers and bench grinders.  They are normally made to order on a few day lead time.

Material types available include aluminium oxide cloth abrasives, Tex nonwoven fleece and abrasive cloth / Tex combinations.

N.B. We use a range of fleece materials including 3M Scotchbrite to make our wheels.

Abrasive flap wheels with a 19mm Keyway

Abrasive flap wheels with a 19mm keyway are designed for use on portable finishing tools such as the Finimaster Basic, the PTX Pro, and both Flex and Fein barrel sanders.

Material types available include aluminium oxide cloth, Tex nonwoven fleece, abrasive cloth / Tex combinations, stripping wheels and polishing wheels.

Pleated Wheels

Are manufactured in abrasive aluminium oxide cloth abrasives and are designed for aggressive applications, for example where a heavy fillet weld needs to be ground out or dressed but the final structural dimensions are not critical.

Material types available include aluminium oxide cloth.

Abrasive flap wheels with an M14 thread

Abrasive flap wheels with an M14 thread are another recent Cibo innovation.  They are designed for use on the Cibo Finimaster Pro and give greater life and a higher quality of finish compared to the older PTX / Finimaster Basic type of wheels. The abrasives content is 220% greater when compared to 100mm (4”) wheels!

Material types available include Tex nonwoven fleece, abrasive cloth / Tex combinations and polishing wheels.

High Speed Wheels on M14 thread

Yet another new flap wheel introduced by Cibo.  With a high performance zirconia abrasive cloth the M14 thread flap wheels will fit onto a variable speed grinder for root grinding and even mig weld removal in channels.

Material types available include Zirconium oxide abrasives.
