Not all Flap Discs are the same
Twenty years ago abrasive flap discs were first introduced into the metal grinding and finishing market. They were expensive, aluminium backed and consistently high performance grinding tools.
Today things have significantly changed some for the better and others definitely for the worse! The types of backing available has extended hugely and the price of flap discs has definitely come down, unfortunately the quality of the abrasives used in many flap discs available has reduced along with the price!! But not all discs are the same.
Performance First
In 2009 AFS launched an all new range of Cibo flap discs designed to give the right performance.
The Cibo Abrasives flap discs fall into three families:

With the right advice on abrasive type, machine speed and tooling you can reduce finishing time, improve finishing quality and reduce over all costs.
